The KALYX AI course creator: from a document to a reviewed course

The KALYX AI course creator builds a course with modules and an exam from a topic or from your own document. The scope follows the level, not chance. The document is read in your browser, only the text goes to the EU infrastructure, stays in Switzerland and the EU, and does not train any external models. And no course goes live unreviewed: a person approves it.

The essentials at a glance
  • Two paths. From a topic for a quick draft, or from a document for serious content.
  • Scope follows the level. Basics five modules and ten questions, up to Expert fourteen and twenty-eight. No guessing game.
  • Your documents stay yours. Only the extracted text goes to the EU infrastructure, no training of external models.
  • Nothing goes live unreviewed. A person approves every course on the merits.

Good training rarely fails on knowledge. It fails because no one has the time to turn a directive into a course. That is exactly what the KALYX AI course creator takes off your hands.

From a document, close to the source

In From document mode, you upload a document or paste text, as PDF, TXT, or Markdown. The document is read in your browser, and only the extracted text goes to the EU infrastructure for processing. From it come modules, exam questions, and a review report with source checking.

The optional notes steer the focus, the target group, and the example world, never the substantive content. A request that would add something not in the source is not followed but noted in the review report. Why we have to keep this legally clean is set out in Defused is not abolished.

From a topic, for the quick draft

If you only need a starting scaffold, choose From topic. You provide the topic, the type, the level, the language, and the jurisdiction, and receive a title, description, and modules.

The scope follows the chosen level. Basics is five modules and ten questions, Intermediate eight and sixteen, Advanced eleven and twenty-two, Expert fourteen and twenty-eight. Whoever chooses an advanced course gets an advanced course, not five slides with a big title.

The human approves, not the machine

This is the part that sets KALYX apart from the fast AI. A KALYX course draft is a draft. It visibly carries the note AI draft, and it does not go to your people until a person has reviewed and approved it on the merits.

The note in KALYX that an administrator creates courses from documents and that every course only goes live after the specialist approval.
The note in KALYX that an administrator creates courses from documents and that every course only goes live after the specialist approval.

This approval is not a formality, it is a barrier in the system. Without a recorded approval, no course appears. That is slower than pressing a button and the reason you can trust the content. The path from the approved course to the record leads through How do I prove that my staff are trained?. And why this record is tamper-proof, without a third-party watermark, is set out in What a tamper-proof training record means.

Named honestly. A KALYX course is created with AI support and approved by a person whose name is on the content. We never claim that a text was written by experts when a model wrote the first draft. A KALYX record is a self-issued training record, not an officially recognised qualification.

Context

The figures are real views of the KALYX app with an invented example tenant. Creation runs on the EU infrastructure (AWS Bedrock, data centres in the EU), and your documents stay in Switzerland and the EU and do not train any AI models. The scope figures per level are the standard set in KALYX.

Was ein fälschungssicherer Schulungsnachweis bedeutet

Records of training

The training record for the audit that the auditor verifies themselves

In the audit meeting, the auditors do not ask who was in the room but who completed which content, when, and with what result. An attendance list delivers half of that. The strongest evidence is the one the person auditing verifies themselves, without an account and without checking back with you. That is exactly how a KALYX training record is built: Open Badges 3.0, a checksum over the content, a public Verify number, and a frozen snapshot of what applied on the day of issue.
